We're Sick Of It

I want to say happy New Year to my readers, even though I am a tad late. Sometimes life happens and it just gets in the way.
I want to dive right into this blog topic because I think it's important.

My highest read blogs are the blogs I write about dating. I suppose there is something relatable to a single, 23 year old who is still in school trying to date. Relatable and laughable.

It never seems to shock me that no matter hard how I try to enter the dating world that door just never seems open. Whether it be because I was waiting for that special someone to get their act together or because I'm too independent or because when I finally get the door open that particular guy slams it in my face.

Ladies, I'm sure you understand. We've all been there, right?

So fellas, let's talk about some real shit. Let's talk about how girls aren't made of glass. How when we ask for you to be honest, we really mean it. Or how if you don't like us, then don't tell us you do!

I read those statements and I think to myself "Surely this is common sense and they already know this?" And yet, here I am in a situation where the guy does not, in fact, know this.

And it's not just me. I have several female friends with the same problem. Told by a guy "let's get dinner this week" and then two weeks goes by and that guy has yet to make contact.

That men is why girls are crazy. We are crazy because we are constantly being lied to and misled. And I'm here to say on behalf of women everywhere -
" WE'RE SICK OF IT!"

We're sick of being made to think we're in the wrong. We're sick of slaving over writing a text message just to make sure it can't be misunderstood. We're sick of being told we're crazy just because we want to tell you how we feel.

So for women everywhere - put down the cell phone. No longer will we send 4 page messages. Make them look you in your eyes and face your so-called "crazy."

Stay Sassy, A.

International Quality of Life Awards and New York Study Trip

Happy end of the semester! We've made it another season, and the new year approaches. Many of you know I recently took a trip to New York City on a class trip. One of my assignments while there was to take photographs and create a photo journal blog with them upon my return. I wanted to share that blog with you along with the other great blogs written by my classmates.

I hope you enjoy these many reads and the pictures that go along with them.
Just follow the link to the IQLA website and in case you get lost it's the December 2014 posts you want!

Stay Sassy, A.
